‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
Matthew 25:40 (NKJV)

There are the children who sit next to your
kids in class every day and go hungry every evening. They are the
hard-working families in your neighborhood who struggle with the
decision to pay bills or buy food. They are the seniors who live
around the corner from you and quietly wonder where their next meal
is coming from.
In North Texas there is a 29 million meal gap between what people
need – 3 meals per day – and what they can currently access. The
people affected are children, families, and seniors. They go to our
schools, live in our neighborhoods, and work in our community.
The Maplewood Food Pantry Ministry is our effort to reach out to a local community who is hurting and feels like the world may have turned against them. Every first and third Saturday of the month, from 10:30 to Noon, the Maplewood team in partnership with the Tarrant Area Food Bank administers food to local families in need. Food is also available at the conclusion of our Wednesday Night or Sunday Morning services. Food can also be given out on an emergency basis. Please call the church at 817-485-0915 for details.
Through the volunteers ministering Christ's love to them, people
in need leave knowing that someone does care. Our goal with this
ministry is not only to provide food, but also provide it in such a
way that those in need will come to know Jesus as Lord.
